Fashion has always been a powerful medium for self-expression, but at Jummah, it’s more than that. It’s a vehicle for community empowerment, ethical resistance, and cultural representation. Founded with a mission to uplift underrepresented voices and challenge mainstream fashion norms, Jummah is redefining what it means to wear your values, quite literally.
At its heart, Jummah is a commitment to reinvesting in our communities, not just financially, but spiritually, creatively, and culturally. From day one, we’ve prioritised putting our profits and partnerships back into the people who need it most.
A Voice for Justice: Solidarity with Palestine
Our first release was more than a debut collection; it was a statement of solidarity. We had a collection released showing solidarity with Palestine aligning Jummah with the movement for justice. 20% of profits from these shirts were donated directly to MATW Project, supporting aid workers on the ground in Palestine.
We believe in the power of design to educate, provoke thought, and inspire action. Wearing Jummah isn’t about following trends, it’s about standing for something.
Investing in Local Female Creatives
With each new collection, Jummah moves further into a future shaped by local, independent voices. We work closely with female creatives in Australia, particularly those from minority and migrant backgrounds. This ensures that the wealth generated from our designs doesn’t go places we don't want it to go to. It stays within our community, nurturing local talent and building sustainable networks of empowerment.
A number of our pieces are locally printed in Sydney and hand-embroidered by local female creatives. This is an increasingly rare practice in today’s fashion industry. Every stitch holds intention, time, and care, all the things that mass production has long forgotten.
A Brand That Belongs to Us All
Jummah was born from the lived experience of being part of a diaspora - of not seeing ourselves represented, of really wanting something that felt like home. But this brand doesn’t belong to one person. It belongs to all of us who’ve been overlooked by fashion and are seeking something deeper than just style.
With every purchase, you’re supporting a vision where fashion becomes a tool for justice, creativity, and community revival.
This is what it means to wear Jummah.
